Japanese Spitz
Until one day my brother Jongster got a Shih Tzu as a birthday present for my niece. The dog is very adorable! My friend Rem also bought an American Cocker Spaniel from Tiendesitas. And I must say his dog is the friendliest! Not to mention he's very cute and charming.

These dogs changed me. I finally know now how to be passionate with animals. It's funny that I go all the way to Boni High Street even on weekends just to see and play with the dogs. Satisfied? Yes, but I think I want to have my own.
My top picks:
I was really stunned when I first saw an Alaskan Malamute. Gorgeous. I like the way it looks fierce and strong, but in reality this dog is just tame. The coat is very remarkable. Dont know about other details but so far this is my dream dog.

Saw one in Bonifacio High Street and I asked the owner if an airconditioned shelter is really necessary for this breed. He said no. It's just a common misconception. These dogs already adapted our climate. =)
Alaskan Malamute
Since Im not sure if I can afford an Alaskan Malamute, a Siberian Husky is a good contender. It's also a wolf-dog like my first choice. The best asset is their blue and green eyes.

I like big, fierce-looking and low maintenance dogs. But these cute dog breeds like Yorkshire Terrier, Chow Chow, and Schnauzer would be so hard to resist.

Do you know anyone who sells dogs? Without red marks and non-grand champion lines are very fine. Even without PCCI paper is good as long as the dog is healthy. Refer me to your seller pls. =)

Used to have pet dogs (They're the original AZKALS.) when I was still a kid. But they all died already, and I know those with good breeds usually are expensive and high-maintenance so I didn't even attempt to buy.

I love dogs but my lifestyle won't support them - I wasn't even able to take care of one plant in my apartment. Namatay lang.

hndi rin ako mahilig sa aso pero kapag nakakakita ako nga mga cute na aso like Chow chow and husky, gusto ko sila yakapin, kahit yung mga bomb sniffing dog sa mall, ang cute din.. pero ang pangarap ko talagang alagaan na aso ay golden retriever.

Yeah, you can check on sulit. Yung profile na talagang breeder. Stay away from Petshop, pets there are too stressed na.
We have 5 dogs, 1 golden ret, 1 labrador ret, 1 mixed lab, 1 dachshund and 1 aspin.<3
We also have 3 cats, all of them puspins that were rescued and adopted. =)

we've been scouring the shelters here for cocker spaniel, that's what we like.
i have two cats - Emma and Buster and both are rescued/adopted from the shelter.

Hi Chyng, I enjoy reading your blog, i just came across it recently. I hope to see more of your travel stories. I just wnated to share that having dogs as part of your family is such a super huge responsibility but the rewards are beyond expectations. You should consider adopting please from a local animal shelter. There are thousands and thousands of homeless and unloved dogs suffering on the streets. These are the dogs that are neglected, abused, abandoned or just there as a direct result of irresponsible owners that do not spay or neuture to reduce pet overpopulation. Buying from a breeder or pet shop only serves to further this horrible situation. I just know you will find the love of your life if you would just open your heart and mind and look into the shelters. Good luck!

I guess it is much better to adopt from the shelter like PAWS, CARA, etc. Though regular dogs lang sila, at times meron din may breed. I'll be a full-time traveler next year sharing my passion both for animals and environment and to continue that advocacy through traveling. =)
