We're in HEAT! (Anniversary Entry - Part 1)

We've been thinking of a nice place to spend our anniversary 2 months ago. But Enrico insisted that he'll come up with a surprise so wag ako mangealam. I agreed. Pero di ako nakatiis, I want to prepare my share on this celebration so I said meron din ako surprise for him. Preparations been fun kasi both of us have no idea kung saan pupunta at ano mangyayare. I just remind him that we'll have to dress smart casual.

Since most couples spend their anniversaries thru fine dining and we havent experienced this too, dining in a hotel is perfect. Pero super expensive pala plus super formal. Not so us. I rather choose a buffet (para madame options ng food at casual lang) at lunch time (para less crowded unlike pag dinner time).

I had a hard time selecting which hotel that serves buffet would be the best for us (and my budget). Of course Spiral at Sofitel is #1 on the list, pero too commercialized kaya crowded at expensive ha (P1,800++/head). Andame ding merong Accor Card which entitles 50% sa buffet kaya madameng tao. Not ideal for anniversary. Another place is Circles at Makati Shangri-La. Hhmm, ganun din. Quite expensive. OK din sana yung Mandarin Oriental.

I trimmed my options to two: 7Circles at Crown Plaza and HEAT at Edsa Shangri-La. Pero I settled with HEAT, mas madame good reviews. May permission pa ko to use my camera. And so I reserved a table for two.

Im impressed with the setup of the food. Delightens my eyes and stomach. Homey ang ambiance and attendants are everywhere to assist you. I love the place! Kain na tayo!

I think nasulit naman ang bayad for HEAT. We got to try different cuisines. Satisfied kame! We enjoyed this experience!

Tokyo Cafe

This is the 2nd part after Enrico brought me to T.G.I.Friday's for our lunchdate. We attended mass before meeting my friends! Dinner at Tokyo Cafe it is!

We waited outside kasi queuing. Di rin naman kame ganun katagal naghintay. Finally may seat na kame, ready to give our orders. Actually na-google ko na ang gusto ko orderin, yung mga best sellers for my maarte friends! Sila pa din ang lagi kong kasama magcelebrate pag birthday ko.

It was a good dining experience at Tokyo Cafe. Distinct ang flavors ng meals nila. Too bad lang, walang cheesecake na available that day. Sold out na daw. But ofcors, requirement na pag birthdays nameng 3 ay dapat may blowing ng candle on a cake, kaya they bought me our favorite Blueberry Cheesecake at UCC!

My day's still not ended soon. We had pictorial everywhere using the new lens with Bokeh effect. At coffee time pa para sa shismisan/updates.

Thank God It's my Birthday @ Friday's

Two weeks ago, nagstart ang excitement sa office namen. 2 of our teammates ay na-layoff. Yes! Cost-cutting it is! Exciting no? A week after, it was announced that per payday, we are forced na wag pumasok for a day. Unpaid. Ouch! This is the reason why I cant update my blog. Maciadong exciting ang nakaraang linggo for us. Kaya nung nagbirthday party ako sa office, naisipan kong ilagay sa birthday cake ko ang "Who's Next?" (na male-layoff) instead of Happy Birthday Chyng!

Sunday- birthday ko na talaga! I didn't wait for 12 midnight dahil antok na antok nako. Pag gising ko ng 3am (sensha naman, weird ng sleeping habit ko), my celfone has received many text messages from unregistered numbers. They came from Enrico's family, officemates, college friends, and saturday friends. Whew, text brigade it is! Sweet dba?

Moving on, this is the first part of my bday celebration. A lunch Sundate with Enrico at Friday's! He has a new lens. Ang ganda!

Time out muna sa photo op. For the food, I can't decide kung ano gusto ko. He ordred Jack Daniel's Chicken and Shrimp (this meal is good!) and Crusted Fish (sarap).

This is one of the simple things why I love Enrico. Di ko kelangan mag-isip pag ayoko mag-isip. Ready siya magdecide pag tinatamad ako. He'll order both meals na alam nyang gusto ko para in case ayaw ko yung isa, meron pang isang option! *winks*

And while Enrico and I are having harutan sa proper way daw of eating mais (jukies lang dude!), heto na ang staff ng Friday's with their birthday number. Yeah right, napakagreasy ng kamay at lips ko. Perfect timing! Birthday celebrants are given free vanilla icecream and a lot of eksena sa restaurant.

I turned 25!

Natamad ako kumuha ng shots using Vincent (my point and shoot Canon Ixus). Maciado akong na-amazed sa Bokeh effect so I let Enrico do almost all the shots. He used his remote for our couple shot.
