Legazpi | Hotel Venezia | Small Talk Cafe

One of the very last Piso Fares that I availed this year - a flight to Legazpi for my friend Rem's birthday.

APX flight to Legazpi, moved from 8am to 1pm. Shet!

Just 2 days prior our trip, we got a notice from Airphil informing that our flight schedule is moved. Kakainis. Though we have the option to move our flight to another weekend, hotel bookings are already made. Well, the time schedule doesn't really matter as we didn't have any activity in mind. Hehe Walang nasirang itinerary dahil wala naman talaga kaming itinerary at all! ^_^

What we only had in mind was to celebrate in the luxurious resort of Misibis Bay... Save your "wow's" but nope we didn't splurge and throw our hard earned money in that place. We chose to make a daytour instead. Since Misibis Bay prioritizes the check in guests of their sister hotels - we chose to spend our 1st night in Hotel Venezia.

free airport transfers for Hotel Venezia guests

Hotel Venezia is actually a 5-10mins drive from Legazpi airport. It's actually located inside a subdivision, weird eh?

Hotel Venezia facade

The Junior Suite for 3 persons (with 3 breakfasts) costs P5,100. It's Rem's treat, yey! This room originally costs P6,600, btw. I dont know how he managed to get that discounted rate.

checking in was a breeze

dining area

The place is quite new. The interior is elegant. There's not much guests when we arrived. All the staff's attention was given to us. After a few minutes, we're given our keycard. We're ready to see the room.

a spacious room with 2 queen sized beds

with couch, flat screen tv, and writing desk, mini ref, etc

bathroom with toiletries

Look what we have outside our window..

hello majestic Mayon!

Using Trixie, a Sony TX10, here's a panoramic shot of the room:

ansaya pala ng panoramic feature

our camera bags are Halo - Halo ^_^

After camwhoring in the room, we decided to have an early dinner in a nearby restaurant. The receptionist recommended Small Talk Cafe which is only a 10-min drive from the hotel. We hired a tricycle for P40. Ang mura.

Small Talk Cafe
The place is just enough for a couple of diners. Ambiance is very homey. The prices are very reasonable that's why we ordered their best sellers.

..shots from Trixie (a sony tx10)

Boneless Crispy Pata

Pinangat (Laing)

Chicken Adobo with Gata

Chicken Satay with Peanut Butter sauce

Pili Pie and Mango Crepe with IceCream

Yummy. We ended the night by having a coffee at Legazpi's famous coffee shop.

La Mia Tazza

The morning after, kainan ulit. The complimentary breakfast selection is not much. Sakto lang kasi busog pa kami from last night's heavy dinner.

Noodle Soup, Daing, Tapa

Cereal and Walnuts

Again, the breakfast spread is limited. Just right. I wish they have bacon, waffles, and yogurt. Arte? Hehe

Anyway, while we're having breakfast, the staff gave Rem a surprise birthday cake. Thanks Abby, and happy birthday to you too!

Happy birthday Remay and Abby!
(yes, magka-bday sila!)

1st cake palang nya yan, 2 more to go!

Thanks a lot to the wonderful staff of Venezia. We had a great time in your hotel.

Weird nga naman talaga na nasa loob ng isang subdivision ang hotel - in fact, this is the first time I've heard of it! So I guess, paglabas nyo ng hotel, puro na private houses and no commercial establishments.
